Reports have been coming in that infamous movie critic Kamal Rashid Khan (KRK) had accepted ₹ 25 lakh from Karan Johar to diss Ajay Devgn’s Shivaay on social media. Producer of Shivaay Kumar Mangat claimed to have recorded all of it on tape, as Devgn posted it on social media.
Devgn later put out another statement demanding the truth be told and that KRK was contradicting himself in the audio clip.
Devgn was quoted as saying the following.
“We have only made you aware of what KRK has said. He is contradicting himself in explanations about what he has said in the recording and what we all have just heard in his postured press conference. He has not denied that it was his voice in the recording and he is now making excuses and contradicting himself. Where is the sanity here? You have heard what I have heard. It is upto you all to decide. Its his word against his own word.”
When Karan Johar was implored to comment on this entire storm that’s been brewing, he replied in his signature politically correct style, not offending anyone.
“My self respect, reputation, company reputation and my upbringing doesn’t allow me to dignify this question with a response.”
This was a very mature way of handling situations by KJo, given how it doesn’t take time for a controversy to flare up in recent times.
