A legendary choreographer, a veteran in the Bollywood film industry, and a three-time national award winner, Saroj Khan breathed her last today. Friends and colleagues from the industry poured in their condolences on social media today.
Amongst them, actress Kareena Kapoor Khan and designer Manish Malhotra took to Instagram. They recollected happy memories they shared with the ace choreographer on their respective film sets.
Kareena shared a throwback post from the sets of her movie ‘Jab We Met’. She revealed how “Masterji” Saroj Khan had scolded her. An excerpt from the caption reads ‘perr nahin chala sakti toh kam se kam face toh chala’. This ended up teaching the actress an important lesson on how “to enjoy dancing, smile and smile through the eyes.”
She summed up her heartfelt tribute saying that “there can never be another. Dance and expression can never be the same for us actors and for everyone who loved her. Love you master ji. Till we dance again… RIP.”
Manish Malhotra also came forward with a behind-the-scenes video on the set of the last song that she choreographed ‘Tabaah Ho Gaye’ from the movie ‘Kalank’. He wrote:-
