Although we can’t travel amid the lockdown, it seems we can still enjoy the beauty of nature from afar. Confused? Well, with improved air quality and lower pollution levels, certain states are able to see scenic beauties from the comfort of their homes.
Recently, people of Siliguri woke up to the mesmerizing view of Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world! The West Bengal natives got a clear view of the mountain range situated in the eastern Himalayas.
Kangchenjunga, the 3rd highest mountain in the world can be seen clearly from Siliguri now.

The slowdown in human activity has been doing wonders for mother earth. Like, in recent times, Yamuna river has turned blue and pristine, Mumbai skies have cleared significantly and wild animals are roaming freely in human habitats. A pollution-free environment is also the reason residents of Siliguri laid eyes on the majestic Kanchenjunga range.

That is a beautiful sight !
I remember the blue ‘wall of hills’. Going up from NJP towards Darjeeling, that would be clearly visible as soon as we left Siliguri behind. And add to the feeling that yes, we are going up into the mountains.— Nandini C (@nandinic11) April 30, 2020
It is because global lockdown has made some fantastic results to our climate.

Thanks for the post! Reminds me of my childhood spent in Siliguri (College para) .. on crisp autumn days we, too, could spot the outline from the kitchen window of our home. Some of the best times were spent in that house. 🙂

Honestly, I just hope we take care of mother nature even after the lockdown. After all, the entire earth is our home.
