7 Reasons Justin Bieber Deserves More Love Than We Give Him

It is the birthday of the most hated pop star on the internet and the most loved man-boy among teenagers. Today, Justin Bieber turns 22 and we decided to give him some credit for all he has achieved.

So, let’s have a look at some good things about the boy wonder amidst all the internet trolls and memes to his name.

1. He started from scratch

Bieber is not one those star kids born with a silver spoon. He grew up in Ontario, born to a broken family. However, he was raised well by his single mother. He finished school and graduated with a 4.0 GPA, which is Grade A score.

While growing up, Beiber learnt to play the guitar, piano, drums and the trumpet. Therefore, it is safe to say Beiber had a humble yet sound background.

2. He is one helluva drummer

If any of you have seen Justin Bieber and Questlove’s drum-off at the Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon you would know what I’m talking about. Questlove, a.k.a, Ahmir Khalib Thompson is a member of the Grammy-winning band The Roots and it takes a lot more than a few bass kicks to face him in a drum-off.

Bieber, on the show, surprised everyone, including Questlove who flew his sticks in the air as if he’s done competing with this beast of a drummer.

3. His love for Mrs. Bieber

No, Justin’s not married yet but he did form a beautiful relationship with a 6-year-old cancer patient. Avalanna Routh was suffering from atypical teratoid rhabdoid tumor when Bieber decided to pay a visit to her dying fan.

He took her out and around New York City in June 2012, tweeted pictures with her and a year later, on her death anniversary, Bieber tweeted to his fans a few words in memory of his super-fan.

4. Justin Bieber doesn’t say the word ‘swag’ anymore

In his Hollywood Reporter interview, the pop icon announced that he is finally over the word ‘swag’ because it ‘kind of played out’. Now that’s a start and one can hope he is actually growing up.

With the stupid teen lingo out of his dictionary, who knows, Justin Bieber might just start writing his own songs!

5. He buys pizza for his fans

You may hate the Beliebers but does your idol buy you pizza? Well, Mr. Bieber does. When fans waited in the cold outside NBC’s 30 Rock Center, hoping to win standby tickets to the Saturday Night Show, hosted by their idol, Bieber bought his fans a warm snack of Ray’s Pizza to thank them for their sheer devotion.

They have been waiting in the freezing night for Bieber and couldn’t have been rewarded better.

6. He helped build a school

The boy’s not just about fast cars and record sales. Bieber, who is associated with an organisation called Pencils of Promise, visited Guatemala where the organisation was building schools for children.

He didn’t just stand and watch like a celebrity. He actually got his hands dirty, sift the concrete, laid down the blocks and also spent a long time playing with the underprivileged kids.

7. Boy, can he dance

You may hate or love him but you just can’t ignore the fact that Bieber slays the floor with his moves. He is a well-rounded performer who does the “worm” almost as good as the arthropod itself. There’s a reason why most Youtube dance coaching videos just can’t do without teaching JB moves.

All the young dance coaches know that if they can’t teach how to kick step like Bieber, the job’s not theirs.

That’s seven good things about Justin Bieber. Two more than the number of fingers in your hand. That’s a lot, haters.
