Everyone’s time is of utmost importance, be it a celeb, a normal person, or a journalist. Hence, when we wait for a person for hours and despite that have to return without meeting them, it makes us furious.
Recently, an entertainment journalist had to wait for 3 hours to interview an Indian actress. However, his time was wasted when the actress didn’t turn up and he ended up with no interview.
Taking to social media, Rohit Khilani shared his ordeal with the world to know that celebs can sometimes be unpunctual and unprofessional.
Sharing the picture of popular actress Pooja Hedge on his Instagram stories, Rohit wrote:
“Today I had an interview lined up with this actress Pooja Hegde. My time was 4:45 PM. I left from there at 7:45 PM without the interview. 3 hours wasted. When I was storming out, the publicist @spicesocial said, ‘Thoda time ruk jao, ho jaega!'”
He further added that even Govinda did something along the same lines to him back in the day.

After his tweet reached scores of people, singer Sophie Choudry shared her ordeal. She said that during her MTV days, she was asked to come to Pune to interview a superstar on set who kept her waiting for hours after which she left without doing the interview. However, she also added that Big B is always early.
But honestly most people are very punctual, professional and particular in my experience nowadays. I’m sure it was an unfortunate one off. Promotions can get crazy. I guess need better scheduling ❤️

Yes.. Not always the actor’s fault. Also you & I know that sometimes other people go over their time limit and it’s not like the celeb can walk out midway from that interview cos that would be another mess! Maybe we need Oscar like music to signal time up😂

Good on you to put it out publicly. I don’t often cover films – but on the rare occasion that I have done an interview with someone from the fraternity – there has been a delay. And no apology! A Bollywood designer once made me wait 4 hours!

Well done Rohit! I used to have a 30-45 limit. If the person was later than that I would leave always. And if it was an hour meeting then I would insist the meeting ends as scheduled and they just got a shorter meeting

This is their standard behaviour with everyone – journalists, RJs, YouTubers – they just assume that only their time matters and nobody else’s. Sheer arrogance. Not to mention just disorganised and unplanned. Good on you to call it out .

Whoever is at fault, in this case, should definitely be mindful of other people’s time. Not fair!
