Janhvi Kapoor who entered Bollywood with fellow debutante Ishaan Khatter in the movie Dhadak has some exciting projects lined up for 2020. She is playing India’s first woman Air Force officer and ‘Kargil Girl’ Gunjan Saxena in her next. The actress is also working on a horror-comedy named RoohiAfza opposite Rajkummar Rao and is signed on for movies like Dostana 2 and Takht.
Janhvi has donned bridal lehengas for various shoots and fashion shows but recently in an interview with Brides Today magazine, she revealed what she would like to wear to her own wedding and how she envisions the ceremony to be.
Hindustan Times quoted her saying,
“I want something that’s real and intimate and close to who I am. I don’t need anything big and fancy. I already know my wedding is going to be really traditional and happen in Tirupati. I’m going to wear a Kanjeevaram zari sari and there’s going to be a full daawat after the wedding with all the South Indian food that I love. Idli, sambhar, curd rice, and kheer.”
The actress also candidly opened up about her choice of partner and her late mother’s views on the matter.
News18 quoted her saying,
“He should be really talented and passionate about what he does. I need to be excited and learn something from him. A sense of humour is really important as well. And, of course, he has to be obsessed with me.”
“She (Sridevi) would say that she doesn’t trust my judgement in guys, that she will choose someone for me. Because I love very easily.”
