The Doll Bag That You See Isha Ambani Carrying At The Met Gala Is Worth ₹24 Lakh

Among the many people who attended the Met Gala 2023 was businesswoman Isha Ambani who is also the daughter of the richest person in Asia, Mukesh Ambani.

According to designer Prabal Gurung who custom made her Met outfit, she wore an Atelier Prabal Gurung black satin-back crepe sari gown embellished with thousands of hand-embroidered crystals and pearls with a silk chiffon train as her homage to Indian heritage and Karl’s India collection.

As stunning as her one-shoulder outfit was, she also carried an iconic ‘Chanel doll bag’ with her that got Twitter buzzing. Isha was seen sporting a clutch that’s an archive piece from the 2012 ‘Paris Bombay Collection’ by Chanel.

According to a report by Times Now, the bag from Karl’s collection is inspired by the city of Mumbai and features a crystal Bindi at the center of the forehead of the doll. It also features a pearl maangtika with a little white flower with its face resembling a desi bride.

The bag has the iconic leather and metal Chanel chain at the top of the head of the Indian Matryoshka doll. Apparently, the limited edition bag was sold for around $60,000 (over Rs 49 lakh) at that time. After doing some digging, we found out that the black clutch costs USD 30,550 (Rs 24,98,012 approx.).

A website called ‘1stDIBS’ was selling the bag for that amount. However, it’s currently sold out.
