Tragedy struck movie fans when Irrfan Khan, one of the finest actors in Bollywood revealed he was suffering from Cancer a couple of years back. The actor took a sabbatical from movies and moved to London to undergo treatment. The ‘Karwaan’ star has ever since managed to keep his fans updated about his health.
A year later, Irrfan, bounced back to life and good health, giving his fans, friends, and family a sigh of relief. After his recovery, the only thing that the fans were waiting for was Irrfan’s comeback on the silver screen.
And looks like, the day is here. The first look poster of his film Angrezi Medium was recently released by the makers which featured Irrfan Khan and Radhika Madan. But ahead of the film’s trailer launch on February 13, Irrfan shared a lively yet emotional message for his fans saying that he won’t be able to make it to the promotions of his much-anticipated film.
Irrfan begins the video message saying, “Hello brothers and sister. This is Irrfan. I’m here with you and yet I’m not. This film Angrezi Medium is very special for me. I truly wanted to promote this film with the same love with which we made it. But my body has been gatecrashed by some unwanted guests… Whatever happens, I’ll share with you all.”
He goes on to add:
“When life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Sounds good,… but when you get a handful of lemons it isn’t that easy to squeeze them. And we always have the choice to stay positive. In situations like these, it’s up to us to make lemonade.”
Further, he speaks about his film and says, “And with this positivity, we made this film. I hope it will give you something and make you laugh, cry and probably laugh again. Enjoy the trailer and be kind to each other and watch the film.”
Irrfan concludes on a positive note and tells his fans, “And yes, wait for me.”
His video soon garnered numerous positive reactions and best wishes from fans and friends. Hrithik Roshan, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor, Yami Gautam among others wished Irrfan all the luck for his film and said that they were definitely waiting for him to come back.
