Several countries have been put under lockdown and people have been strictly told not to venture out until the situation is completely under control. Social distancing has proved to be a key element in containing coronavirus.
However, a couple of videos shared online show some Instagram influencers, models and well-known figures partying in Bali amidst the pandemic, reports Daily Mail.
As reported by Mirror Online, a luxury Bali villa was crowded by guests, who were seen bathing in the pool, blasting music out from DJ decks, drinking, chatting and having a gala time while defying all social distancing norms.
Very good social distancing bruh @tyrone_hermitt. Party all night in #Canggu, #Bali literally just last night.

The Sun reports that there were more than 20 guests enjoying the ‘not so low-key’ birthday party of Instagrammer Mahmoud Attiya.
The viral footage was initially posted by a tattoo model and influencer Tyrone Hermitt from Manchester. He, however, also apologised for attending the party amid COVID-19 threat and later deactivated his account.
Attiya also apologised saying they only invited a few people but a lot of them showed up. “We are very sorry for all the trouble. We had a call from security and we closed the DJ and everybody left. We totally appreciate the Bali government and immigration and their support to help avoid COVID-19.”

Apart from them, Russian social media star Ksenia Aldoshenko and model Dorokhova Ksenia were also seen at the party.
People online were outraged by their irresponsible behaviour, reports NDTV.
I hope none of you is a #COVID19 carrier bruh @tyrone_hermitt. pic.twitter.com/2SPcZ0oiNY

Although Indonesia hasn’t been put under lockdown by the authorities, the residents have been advised to stay indoors and avoid social gatherings. The authorities have also hired volunteers who dress as ghosts to scare residents into going back indoors at night.
It’s disappointing to see people of such stature and a huge number of followers flouting rules, while the world is struggling to fight the pandemic. Such a shame!
