Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra has been banned by 4 airlines including IndiGo, Air India, GoAir, and Spice Jet after he posted a video of himself “heckling” television journalist Arnab Goswami and it went viral. A significant number of people lent their support to Kamra, including celebrities like Anurag Kashyap who refuses to fly via IndiGo till the airlines lift the ban.
Recently, a few passengers travelling from Varanasi to Delhi via an IndiGo flight protested against Kunal Kamra’s ban by the airlines. Activist Priya Pillai, Medha Kapoor, and Debayan Gupta were seen holding placards condemning the ban, reports The Telegraph.
“We condemn IndiGo’s ban on Kunal Kamra. #YouDivideWeMultiply,” read the placards.
After they stood for a while, IndiGo crew members asked them to take their seats which they did. Later, an IndiGo spokesperson said that the protest was “peaceful”.
Medha Kapoor posted took to share pictures of the protest, reports HuffPost India. Have a look:

Reacting to the pictures, some people expressed that travelling via the airlines in itself opposes their cause.
You should also boycott it by not travelling in it.

One of the protestors then revealed that their tickets had been booked way before the whole incident occurred.
Our tickets were booked way before the incident happened so we decided to travel one last time and make that count
