Indians On Reddit Reveal Whether Virginity, Past Relationships Are Deal-breakers In Marriage

For many people, how many relationships a man or a woman has had in the past is a deal-breaker, especially if they’ve had a sexual relationship. You will see these discussions happening especially in an arranged marriage setting where prospective brides and grooms are asked if they’ve dated in the past.

Speaking on these lines, several Indians took to r/India on Reddit to share if virginity and past relationships are deal-breakers for them when thinking of marriage.

The conversation began when one user posted a general question asking, “Would you be fine if your partner was involved with someone else in the past, maybe physically or emotionally? To what extent do those things matter for you during marriage?”

Several people took to the comments section to answer the question. Many were of the opinion that they wouldn’t be concerned about their partners’ past, but it would be unsettling if they were still friends with their ex.

It’s all good as long as both parties are completely honest with each other and open about their past.

Don’t be a hypocrite and want a virgin partner when you’ve been sexually active in the past.

For some people, it would be a deal-breaker if their partners weren’t in a relationship in the past. That would mean they didn’t have the experience or maturity to handle a relationship.
