Gone are the days when people wrote heartfelt letters for birthdays or anniversaries. In today’s age and time, individuals prefer sending a quick WhatsApp message or Facebook sticker for any special occasion. So, it goes without saying, that a handwritten note is a priceless possession for many.
And, even though people send fewer letters these days, the Indian postal services have been the backbone of our nation’s communication for over 150 years. In fact, all-women post offices were inaugurated all across India to encourage more females to work. Recently, the postal department went out of its way to get their job done when they delivered a letter to a man that didn’t even have a proper address.
Have a look at the man’s tweet about his letter reaching on time:
"Maj NavNeeT Singh, High Court, Panchkula, Haryana"
A distinguished service medal is due to our @IndiaPostOffice for delivering this letter to my residential address facing all odds, and that too in time 😀
