People who believe that men and women can never have the same place in sports have been proved wrong again today!
Both India’s women and men’s Badminton team have bagged the gold medal after defeating Sri Lanka in the finals of the 13th South Asian Games, reports TOI.
The Indian men’s team defeated Sri Lanka by 3-1, while the women’s team defeated them by 3-0, giving the nation two reasons to celebrate!
India also won 2 golds in taekwondo, and 1 gold, 2 silvers, and a bronze in the triathlon event. Currently, India is placed on the 2nd spot with a total of 5 golds, 8 silvers, and 3 bronzes, reports NDTV Sports.
