In India, there’s widespread enthusiasm for vacationing abroad, often overlooking the splendour within our own borders. From the majestic mountains of Kashmir to the serene beaches of South India, and the golden deserts of Rajasthan to the enchanting hills of the Northeast, our country boasts an abundance of breathtaking destinations that can give tough competition to foreign locations.
Sandipan, an ex-student of IIT Bombay and IIM Ahmedabad, took to X to claim that he has been to both Switzerland and Kashmir and can infer that Kashmir is better than the former in terms of how much natural beauty it has to offer. To serve as proof, he shared breathtaking pictures from his travel.
“I’ve been to Switzerland, and I can say that Kashmir has so much more natural beauty to offer – the last week of travel has just made me feel so much more at peace,” he wrote.
Have a look at some of the pictures here:
The gorgeousness that is Budgam.
A trip to Kashmir is incomplete without visiting Dal Lake.
The snow-clad mountains of Gulmarg.
Sonmarg and its pretty snow.
You can see the glaciers!
It’s tulip season at Srinagar.
Look at those colourful flowers!
Tranquil waters. Endless serenity.
This is what paradise looks like.
Nature at its best.
