Last week on May 24, Bengaluru residents observed a stunning ‘sun halo’ in the sky that lasted for about an hour from 11 AM to 12 noon.
And now, the residents of Hyderabad were in for a surprise today afternoon as the rare optical phenomenon ‘sun halo’ was observed up in the sky, Times Now reports. Also known as 22 degree halo, it is a rainbow-coloured ring formed around the sun. This phenomenon occurs when sunlight gets refracted into millions of hexagonal ice crystals suspended in the air.
