Beyond Duty: Hyderabad Cop Runs 2 Km & Clears Traffic To Make Way For Ambulance

The tales of several cops who have gone beyond duty to help fellow citizens have inspired many over the years. From sweeping floors so motorists don’t skid to teaching kids during the lockdown, some policemen are truly the protectors of society.

In addition to the list, a traffic cop in Hyderabad, G. Babji, ran almost 2 kilometres amidst a busy street during peak hours to clear out traffic so that an ambulance could pass, reports News18. The incident occurred on Monday between Abids GPO Junction and Andhra Bank Koti.

A video of the incident has gone viral wherein the cop can be seen running towards motorists and drivers, asking them to make way for the ambulance. He even ran beyond the jurisdiction of his police station.

“I am happy that I could clear the way for the ambulance to pass. I don’t know who was the patient and which hospital he was being taken to,” said Babji.

People on the internet lauded the cop for going to such lengths to ensure the patient arrives at the hospital on time. Here’s what they said:
