In the past, we’ve seen traffic cops go above and beyond their duty by fixing potholes or clearing waterlogged roads so that commuters can travel safely. Now, another video has surfaced online where Lalit Mohan Rout, a traffic constable, can be seen sweeping a road near Sikharpur square, Cuttack, with a broom. He is clearing the rubble so that motorists do not skid over it.

Orissa Post quoted him saying, “After noticing sand and stone chips causing trouble for two-wheelers, I felt like doing something. I picked up a broom and cleaned the road. While doing such activities, I get immense satisfaction.”
Police Commissioner Dr. Sudhanshu Sarangi felicitated him for his efforts.
People online also praised him for all his hard work to ensure traffic runs smoothly.
If we look closely around us, we will find many people, like the Cuttack traffic police officer here, who go beyond their specified set of responsibilities to help others and make their lives easier.
My salute to such unsung heroes everywhere.#UnsungHeroes #HeroCop https://t.co/dsSu9oNH7R

Respect to a real warrior, and a great human being who keeps the safety of the people in traffic as a top priority, even doing the job which is not in his preview, giving a great message that all jobs are praiseworthy and there are no big or small jobs. 👏👏👏👏 https://t.co/QCko5gDkKV

There is so much to learn from him. His immense passion for public service is rare and above all commendation and praise. He alerts us to our insensibility an callousness.
