TN Text Book Features Hrithik Roshan’s Inspirational Story About Overcoming Bullying

BULLYING. A word that might ruin school life for young kids. Sometimes, an innocent prank by children might turn into a scarring event for another kid. So, it is important that we be kind and compassionate with each other.

Speaking of which, A Hrithik Roshan fan recently found an inspirational story about the actor in her niece’s textbook. Hrithik, who was once bullied in school for stammering, featured in the textbooks of Class 6 students in Tamil Nadu, reports India Today.

Titled as ‘Self Confidence’, the chapter speaks about how the successful Bollywood actor overcame his stammering as a child, reports Hindustan Times. The passage also mentions how Hrithik would go home crying after being bullied for his stammering at school. He later joined speech therapy classes to overcome the problem. The actor even practiced speaking different words in front of the mirror for hours daily.

However, this is not the first time the actor has featured in a book. He had earlier featured in author Ben Brooke Stories For Boys Who Dare To Be Different. Hrithik first spoke about his stammering on a show called ‘Tere Mere Beech Mein’. He said,

“Everything seems normal until you start talking. Your heart palpitates, you don’t understand and you are aware of people looking at you.”
