TV Stars Take The #HitMeChallenge, Get Slammed For Promoting Domestic Violence

Online challenges have been popping up every now and then, but ever since the lockdown, people have been actively taking part in these challenges to kill boredom. Even celebrities weren’t behind in jumping on the bandwagon and participating in viral challenges. After acing the #JLoTikTokChallenge, popular TV stars were now seen taking the #hitmechallenge, reports Hindustan Times.

In a consolidated video, popular TV stars were seen hitting the camera with different objects indicating that they were actually hitting a person in front of them.

After Shweta Tiwari, Karan Veer Mehra, Rishina Kandhari, Priyanka Kalantri, Vikaas Kalantri and Sharad Malhotra, when Debina Bonnerjee tries to slap someone, the person in front tells her to sanitise her hands before getting slapped by her. Towards the end, Krip Kapur Suri gets kicked by Donal Bisht and injures his eye. Unable to face his attacker, Krip picks up his guitar and starts playing it, therefore, ending the fight on a musical note.

Shweta Tiwari shared the video on her IG.

Some people online were amused by their video:

Although the video was intended for entertainment, it failed to impress others online who thought that they were unintentionally promoting domestic violence.

There have been reports that domestic violence during lockdown has increased in the country. Even B-town celebs like Vidya Balan have urged people to report them and put a #LockdownOnDomesticViolence.

But we’ll let you be your best judge and decide whether this video was made in plain humour or was intended to promote domestic violence.
