Video: Haryana Kid Bravely Fights Off Angry Bull As It Repeatedly Attacks His Grandma

We have come across many courageous incidents of people risking it all to save their family members from danger. For instance, a brave Pune mother saved her baby from a leopard attack and fought it off with her bare hands, or how a 6-year old boy saved his little sister from a vicious dog attack.

As per a report in Dainik Jagran, a 70-year old woman named Angoori Devi was out on a morning walk outside her home in Goshala Marg when she was attacked by a stray bull. The CCTV video footage captured of the scene shows the bull first hit the elderly woman who was suffering from fever at the time and further attacked the 20-year old boy named Jatin who ran to save the injured woman. The bull slammed both of them once again as the brave and persistent boy tried to fight and escape.

The incident took place on September 28 in Mahendragarh, Haryana where many street animals are found roaming freely and such incidents have taken place earlier as well, the report suggests.

Following the chain of events from the beginning, the report states that Jatin was reportedly on his way out to play when he first heard his grandmother’s scream. He swiftly jumped in to save her, but the bull hit him too. He managed to reach where his grandmother was lying and picked her up. But the bull charged at them again multiple times.

As they both lay on the road, badly hit and injured, people in the neighborhood who presumably heard the commotion were finally able to chase the bull away with great difficulty. Ultimately, both the lady and the boy’s lives were saved. They both are undergoing treatment separately for the injuries they suffered. The grandmother has fractured her hand and a rod has been inserted into her arm following an operation in Tewadi. Meanwhile, Jatin is under operation in Mahendragarh itself.

Here are some of the reactions people on Twitter had, and most of them applauded the boy’s courage:-

How brave of the young boy to rush to his grandma’s aid! We hope that both of them recover soon.
