Video: Chennai Grandma Lifts Weights In Her 80s Proving That Seniors Can Workout Safely

Motivation can come from anywhere. Earlier, a 102-year-old great-grandmother skydiving from 14,000 feet inspired us to live our dreams to the fullest. Now, it’s this 82-year-old granny from Chennai, lifting weights like a total badass, setting major fitness goals.

Chirag Chordia, the grandson of this spirited dadi shared multiple videos of the elderly woman killing it with weights. While we just procrastinate to workout, this dadima has been rigorously training without any complaints proving that even the seniors can workout safely.

In the captions of the Instagram video, Chirag shared how she would “show off her paused squat to every visitor, even if they’re just casually shocked by the idea that seniors can lift safely.” Chirag, who himself is a fitness enthusiast, designed a special workout regime for his dadi.
