Many parts of India have been devasted by incessant downpour. People across the country are trying their best to handle the natural calamity in every possible way. But since nothing seems to work in the favour of the people of Bhopal, citizens decided to appease the rain God so that he stops the continuous downpour. The citizens who earlier married a frog couple to bring rain in the city are now getting them a divorce to avert the downpour.
According to India Today, two months ago, a frog couple in Bhopal tied the knot in a grand ceremony to please Lord Indra (Hindu god of rains) and bring rain in drought-stricken Bhopal. However, since heavy rains are now becoming a curse for the citizens, they decided to separate the happily married couple to stop the rains.
Earlier, a frog couple also took their wedding vows in drought struck Karnataka to appease the rain God.

As of now, Bhopal has received 26% more rain than normal resulting in flood-like conditions in most parts of the city. In hopes of avoiding any more rain in the entire state of MP, the members of Om Shiv Seva Shakti Mandal of Indrapuri area divorced the frogs on Wednesday evening.
Reportedly, they were symbolically divorced in a massive ceremony where mantras were chanted to separate the frogs.
Well, the current situation in Bhopal is indeed a matter of concern, but will the Mandal’s way of solving the practical problem work?
