Haven’t we all heard spooky stories about old haunted houses? While the thought of living with ghosts might be scary for some, others find it quite thrilling. I mean, obviously there is no conclusive evidence about the existence of the paranormal. But imagine if you could actually live in a horror house?
Well, the scary dream can possibly turn into a reality. Owners of a home in Louisiana, US, are giving away their house for free! They are doing so as locals have spread stories about it being haunted, reports the Mirror. The four-bedroom home was built in the 1930s and has gained a spooky reputation over the years.
Sylvia McLain, co-owner of McLain Investments, shared images of the house on Facebook in order to convince someone to move there and restore the home. This way they will be able to build a new property on the land.

However, it appears potential buyers didn’t show interest in the house after ex-residents spoke about creepy goings-on they claim to have experienced in the house. One former resident claimed that the home is haunted by her great grandmother.
Dawn Vallot DeClout claimed the house was occupied by the spirit of her great grandmother Adele. The woman, who lived until about 90, was known for meddling in the kitchen. Dawn, whose family owned the 160-acre plot the house was built on from 1860, was quoted saying,
“She lived to be almost 90 and she was always digging in the pots, like when you have something on the stove and someone goes and looks in the pot and stirs it around. We used to hear her all the time jangling the pots when we had something on the stove.”
He said they could hear somebody in the kitchen even after his great grandmother died in the front room in 1967. While Sylvia admitted she’s heard all these stories, she remains hopeful the ‘history of the home’ can be saved. In fact, she said former owners even had ghost hunters in to banish the old woman.
One suitor even offered to buy the house but later backed out after he realized it would cost about £64,000 (Approximately Rs. 60 Lakh) to move and reassemble.
