MP Politician’s Son Threatens Cops, Father Makes Him Clean The Road & Apologize

A while back, the government urged citizens (who are not COVID-19 patients, healthcare workers, or caregivers to infected people) to wear homemade face masks while stepping out of their homes. And this rule applies to everyone regardless of their background.

However, according to News18, when Madhya Pradesh politician Pradhmun Singh Tomar’s son Ripudaman was pulled up by a Gwalior cop for not wearing a mask, he threatened and tried to intimidate him using his father’s name.

The Times of India reports that the ex-minister paid Rs.100 fine and made his son work with municipality workers cleaning the roadside for an hour as punishment instead. He was quoted saying,

“He shouldn’t have misbehaved. I took him to the same spot and made him apologize publicly for what he did. We all should respect police who have been working day and night for our safety risking own lives staying away from their family in this crisis situation.”

Ripudaman was quoted saying,

“I apologize to those who have suffered because of me. I will never repeat this and would work with patience and understanding, will follow the law in the future”.

Hope this serves as a lesson to us all that rules are meant to be followed and not flouted because of our familial connections.
