There are a lot of kind-hearted people in India who are helping the poor in their own unique way. This one, though, clearly stood out.
A retired engineer, Bahadur Chand Gupta from Haryana, bought a decommissioned Airbus 300 in 2003 for ₹ 600,000. Poor in India, who can’t afford to sit in a plane get to board the flight. Although, the plane never leaves the ground.

The plane is parked on the outskirts of New Delhi, on the perimeter of International airport.

A lot of underprivileged kids and citizens who never had a chance to even look at a plane visit it quite often. They are given tickets before boarding the airbus and are later served sweets by air attendants.

This noble initiative has successfully given a good air travel experience to a lot of underprivileged people.

“When I was working, people from my village used to ask me about the aircraft. Many of my friends in my villages used to ask if I could take them inside an airport so that they can see the aircraft from close quarters as they could not afford to travel in an Airbus. I took my friend inside the airport somehow, but the authorities caught me. Then I decided to sell my land so that I can buy an Airbus,” Mr. Gupta said.

We wish him all the best and hope he continues to put smiles on people’s faces. 🙂
