Who doesn’t love a little greenery? Plants always make the place beautiful. But, unfortunately, all of us do not have open gardens to grow plants. People think it is not possible to experiment with plants when it comes to indoor gardening. So, most of them stick to simple flower pots and mundane vases.
But, there are a lot of creative ways in which you can display your precious greens inside your home. It’s not much of a task and it will look fabulous. So, I have compiled a list of 10 unique and innovative ways, in which you can display your plant collection.
1. Plants in cans
Take any can; soft drink, soda, canned fruits etc. and wash it properly. Then colour them with your favourite colours. You can use spray paint, as it will be easier to use. To make it a bit more quirky, you can use metallic paint, or stencils to write something on them. Then, soil your plants and arrange them in a fantastic display.
2. Plants in teacups
If you do not have a large space to put big flower pots, you can use your tiny and fancy teacups to grow small plants. To make the display more presentable, you can pair them with saucers and arrange them in a group.
3. Plants in shoes
Yes, it sounds weird, but that’s the kick. Instead of throwing old shoes, you can use them to create your owl surreal plant art. If you do not have Crocs or rain boots, you can spray paint on any of your old shoe and soil plants in that.
4. Plants in bras
If you ignore the fact that it is used to support women’s breasts, it makes for a pretty damn good plant holder. You can hang it in your balcony, or open terrace and put colourful flowers in it. Also, you will have so many colour options to choose from. So, now you know what to do with your old bras! 😉
5. Plants in drawers
Take small nightstand with drawers, that is old and a little worn out. Now, open those drawers and fill them with soil. Put your plants in them (preferably creepers) and wait for them to sprout and crawl out. It will look beautiful.
6. Plants in bird cages
Again, the preferable choice would be climbing plants or creepers so that when you hang the cage, they descend beautifully. The whole setup will give an ornamental touch to your plant display. So, let’s free all those birds from the cage and grow plants instead.
7. Plants in light bulbs
All you have to do is carefully take out the tungsten filament and stem of the bulb and clean it thoroughly. Then, fill the bulb with soil or water and put tiny and delicate plants in them. You can hang them, or display them on a stand.
8. Plants in chair
Just remove the seating area of a chair and fit a suitable size flower pot there. Then, to make the whole arrangement look more appealing, you can paint the chair or put glitter on it. It will make for a very attractive piece of display.
9. Plants in a hot air balloon
It’s just another fun way of decorating your flower pot. After your plant has properly grown in the pot, take a balloon and trap it in a net. Tie that net to the four corners of your flower pot. Your hot air balloon flower display is ready.
10. Indoor flower beds
So what if you don’t have a big outdoor garden? You can create your own tiny flower beds. All you have to do is take a big plate or a shallow bowl and paint it. After it’s dried, plant your favourite flowers at some distance, and your flower bed will bloom in full glory within few days.
