Classrooms are primarily a place of learning but sometimes, unusual things also happen there. And these things teach us much more than the prescribed syllabus ever could. A while back, a student turned up to class with his infant. Instead of chastising him, the professor empathised with his situation and held the baby while he could take notes. In another unique instance, a witty student turned in a 19-word essay and scored full marks for her presence of mind.
But in a classroom at IIT-Bombay things took an unexpected turn when a stray cattle leisurely walked in and interrupted the lesson. The disruption was captured on video and shared on Twitter.

According to Mumbai Mirror, this is not a solitary incident. About two weeks ago, stray bulls attacked a student right outside his hostel on campus. He sustained several injuries to the abdomen. A student at the institute was quoted saying,
“There has been no action despite the shocking attack on a student this month. There is silence over the issue.”
Administration officials have reportedly removed the cattle from campus premises but a more permanent solution has not been reached yet.
Meanwhile, desi Twitter did what it does best and saw the humour in the situation. Here is what they had to say about the bovine interruption.

Quite amusing to see one nonchalant student who didn’t even look up & some others scramble – it’s a cow – not a tiger.

We hope that the institute’s proposed gau shala idea gets a green signal soon for the safety of both students and the cattle.
