Women Compose & Sing Rajasthani Song ‘Corona Bhaag Ja’, Watch Video

The novel coronavirus, which emerged in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in late December, has been declared as a health emergency globally. Claiming more than 3000 lives worldwide, the deadly virus has spread across 90 countries including India.

The Ministry of Health has issued precautions to take against the dangerous virus. Yet, from burning ‘Coronasur’ for Holika Dahan to performing special pujas, individuals are using creative methods to lift people’s spirits and ward off the pandemic. Recently, a group of women composed a folk song called ‘Corona bhaag ja’, reports the Indian Express.

In the video, which has been widely shared on WhatsApp, a group of women can be seen singing a song in Rajasthan, “Corona bhaag ja (Corona go away), Corona Bhag Ja Bharat Tharo Kain Kam Re (Corona go way, there’s no need of you in India)”. The women are basically singing a song asking the virus to leave the country.

According to reports, almost 60 cases of Coronavirus have been detected in the country so far. We just hope the virus is contained soon.
