Nature can amaze us in really weird ways. Just when we think, ‘this is the weirdest thing I have seen’, it comes up with yet another phenomenon that is even more fascinating. This time, it’s this resting octopus that is leaving people spellbound. The footage of an octopus changing its colour apparently while sleeping has surfaced on the internet and we bet you haven’t seen anything like this before.

The rare octopus was filmed changing its colour from grey to yellow and then other mesmeric hues while it dreams. Reportedly, the footage of the sleeping ‘eight-limbed mollusk’ was captured for an upcoming documentary. After studying the sea creature’s unusual behaviour, scientists opined that the eight-legged sea creature was dreaming. Scientist Dr David Steel revealed in an article that the Octopus might be dreaming about a crab and hence, her colour changes. He further explains that ‘it is a camouflage like the octopus has subdued a crab and wants to eat the crustacean but does not want anyone noticing her.’
People on the internet were astonished to see the sea creature’s mysterious habit:
Anyone know how it does this?
And don't give me the usual "evolution did it" rubbish.
Won't wash.
Only answer if you can explain personally not some paste and copy mumbo-jumbo

They're such amazing creatures.
They will attach themselves to a rock for years to make sure their offspring survive.
They can navigate complex paths, and are sweet and will let you pet them.
I love them so much. Was always happy seeing them diving. ❤

Someone even shared the full video:
Here’s a link to the clip on PBS with audio as the biologist speculates about what she’s dreaming about and talks a bit about camouflage behavior https://t.co/8rn6oIvlDR

here’s the source! we’re actually not SURE that she’s dreaming, but the marine biologist studying her felt confident that she was, and speculated on what she might be dreaming about: https://t.co/pcXSM93nAA
