Celebrated Indian cricket commentator Harsha Bhogle was informed about the termination of his contract for commentating in the 9th season of the Indian Premier League by the BCCI.

Rumours and various unconfirmed reports suggest that an argument with an official of the Vidarbha Cricket Association at the Nagpur game and Amitabh Bachchan’s tweets alleging him to be biased are what caused this new development.
Twitter was quick to take up this news and bash BCCI’s decision

This comes right after the Bombay High Court suggested the venues of IPL to be moved out of Maharashtra for severe water shortages. Looks like the already controversy-laden IPL-9 is off to a rocky start with this new one. Harsha Bhogle said that he was not given a reason for his contract termination.
