It’s the wedding season. And even though the coronavirus pandemic has put several restrictions on the festivities, it hasn’t stopped Indians from looking for their perfect match. Newspapers and matrimonial sites are flooded with advertisements by people looking for sanskari, tall, slim and fair bahus.
But this unique advertisement by an advocate in high-court has managed to grab a lot of eye balls.
IAS officer Nitin Sangwan recently shared a snippet of an advert from the matrimony section of a newspaper. While the ad seeking a ‘fair, beautiful, tall, slim bride’ is problematic in ways more than one, the bride-seeker has categorically mentioned that his prospective wife should NOT be addicted to social media.
The ad reads:
Tweeple found his unusual requirement unrealistic in the current times. Here’s how they reacted to it:

Earlier, a Bengali man posted a similar matrimonial ad rejecting all Facebook-loving-brides. One husband was so fed up of his wife’s internet addiction that he reportedly decided to part ways with her. A man killed his wife and baby for her social media addiction.
Well, apparently obsessive social media habits can have adverse effects on your relationships. Experts have also opined that one should “draw the line somewhere.”
With that said, what do you think of this unique trending matrimony clause? Tell us.
