Bandgi Kalra shot to fame with her stint in the 11th season of Big Boss. Her on-screen romance with fellow contestant Puneesh Sharma and details of her tumultuous previous relationship kept the audience captivated. Though the duo repeatedly claimed to really be in love with each other, they failed to convince many as they had initially been caught on camera making plans to fake a relationship in order to get ahead in the show.

Despite the widespread trolling, the two are reportedly still dating post the show and their Instagram accounts seem to denote the same.

On the work front, Bandgi has been doing pretty well, with numerous brand deals and even a music video in the making.

However, the model has now found herself in trouble for posting a fake advertisement for iPhone X phones on her official Instagram account. According to the Deccan Chronicle, a Bangalore based engineering student has filed a case against her, after receiving fake iPhones in return for his payment.

Yuvraj Singh Yadav had responded to the Ad posted by the model in association with differentcollection.nexafasion.com.

Yuvraj, who called a WhatsApp number mentioned in the Ad and booked the said phone, was asked to transfer ₹13,000 to a PayTM account to confirm his order. He was told to pay the remaining amount of ₹48,000 at the time of delivery.

However, when he later checked the model’s Instagram, the post had been taken down. Though suspicious, Yuvraj was assured by the seller that he would receive the phone within the said timeframe.

The engineering student was in for a shock when the package that was delivered to him after the entire payment of ₹61,000 revealed to contain a dummy phone.

Yuvraj has now filed a case against Bandgi, differentcollection.nexafasion.com and BlueDart courier in the matter, at the Marathahalli police station.

Speaking to the Deccan Chronicles, Inspector Sadiq Pasha, who is investigating the case says:

“We have sent an email to Kalra and have summoned her. Though we are not sure of her exact involvement in the incident, she has promoted the product on her Instagram account. Though she has deleted the post, the victim has submitted the screenshot. Kalra has over five lakh followers on her Instagram account and we suspect many more people may have got cheated similarly.”

The inspector adds that Kalra has been given three days to appear before the police, failing which she would be arrested.
