Amitabh Bachchan Pays Teary Tribute To Late Rishi Kapoor, Watch Video

Legendary Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30 after a long battle with cancer. His untimely demise brought shockwaves to the entire film fraternity. Several famous celebrities, his fans and well-wishers took to social media to mourn the loss of the veteran actor.

It’s been four days since we lost the great actor, however, looks like his friend and colleague, superstar Amitabh Bachan hasn’t been able to bid him adieu, yet!

Recently Big-B paid his tribute to late Rishi Kapoor by sharing an emotional video, reports Hindustan Times. In the video, Big-B revealed how Rishi Kapoor was a young, energetic child with mischief in his eyes.

He shared how he would see him prepping for his role in ‘Bobby’. “He had a walk that was confident, determined, a style and a stride which was very similar to his grandfather’s, the legendary Prithviraj Kapoor. Chintu and I worked in several films together- ‘Naseeb’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ and the most recent, ‘102 Not Out’.” Big-B went on to say how Rishi was able to mesmerise the audience with his impactful performance.

“When he spoke his lines you believed every word of it, that was the genuineness and the sincerity with which it was spoken.”

“There was never any alternative to the way he spoke his dialogues. And there has never been any other that would lip-sync a song as perfectly as he would.” (sic)

Talking about his playful attitude, Big-B said, “He had a playful attitude all the time, it was infectious on the set. Even in the gravest sequences, he would discover that comedic spark and we would all just crack up.”

“Not just on sets, but even when we were together at a formal event, he would find that little distractive light, that light-hearted moment that would lighten the situation.”

“When there was a time-lapse as the shot got ready during a shoot, he would bring out his playing cards, or at times pull out his rather complicated Bagatelle board and invite others to play with him. It was not fun, it was a serious competition.” The maha-nayak added that Rishi never lamented his condition.

“During the time of his treatment, he never ever lamented his condition, it was always, ‘I’ll see you soon, just a routine visit to the Hospital. I’ll be back shortly.’”

“The exuberant enjoyment of life was a gene that he inherited from the iconic Raj Kapoor.” He added that he never messaged and asked him how he was. “I never wanted to see the distress on his smiling cherubic face. But I am certain when he went, he must have gone with a gentle smile,” said the 77-year-old with tears in his eyes.

Rishi Kapoor has entertained generations with his brilliant acting. May his soul rest in peace.
