Not only does it weigh prosperity by Gross National Happiness (GNH instead of GDP) but the home of hills also present an abode of solitude that is quite unmatched. And I don’t know about you, but I have never heard of Bhutan making news for the wrong reasons.

Now, the last time I did, it was an occasion which was marked by the birth of the prince of Bhutan. It was also the same occasion that saw the plantation of 1 lakh trees as the part of the celebrations.

Believe me, when I say this, a year has passed by and Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck is about to celebrate his first birthday on February 5. And the preparations are abuzz.
