News and headlines, in today’s date and time, don’t surprise me anymore. As dismaying at it sounds, there is no novelty left in oddity and there exists no information without a dollop of sensationalisation. Or so I thought, up until today!
Yes, I take my words back. Unfortunately, there is still scope for surprise and I’ll tell you why.
In a first of its kind incident, a man in Bengaluru was intervened and abused in the movie theatre by a fellow movie-goer just because of a T-shirt he was wearing. It read, ‘Stop Jerking Start F**king.’ He then got a cop who, instead of maintaining order, morally policed the man in the T-shirt.Â

The man can be heard defending himself but the vigilantes were too amped to listen to logic.Â
“It is not my intention. It is available in the market, right?
According to reports, it happened at a PVR in Forum Mall, Bengaluru.
That’s not it. The man was humiliated and asked to go change. Parul Agarwal who was a passerby took to Facebook to report the entire event. She wrote,Â

While there was a lot of encouragement and support that poured in, there were a few opposing views of this kind.Â
The good news is she did exactly what she said she would. Parul went on to tag the Bengaluru Police in a video, she took of the cop.Â
