Bengaluru, which is often hailed as the Silicon Valley of India, pulsates an entrepreneurial spirit that transcends traditional boundaries. From corporate boardrooms to the driver’s seat of an autorickshaw, the city breathes innovation. From CEOs to cab drivers, everyone harbours ambitious business plans, reflecting a dynamic environment where the enterprising spirit permeates every facet of life. Here’s a wonderful example.
A user on X (formerly Twitter) shared the story of a man named Lokesh who works as a cab driver for Uber. However, he has launched his own app to compete with companies like Ola and Uber and already apparently has 600 drivers on the app. The name of his app is Nano Travels.
Have a look at the user’s post here:
Peak Bengaluru: Mr Lokesh my uber cab driver informed me that he has launched his own app to compete with uber and ola and already has more than 600 drivers on his app.
Moreover, today they launched their IOS version for apple too. #Bengaluru #peakbengaluru@peakbengaluru pic.twitter.com/IGdiWItPG4— The Bengaluru Man (@BetterBengaluro) December 20, 2023
Several people online lauded the cab driver for starting his own initiative and hoped for his company to do well. Here’s what some of them said:
There was this Taxi driver Lokesh who once gave me a ride from the airport. He was very enterprising and asked me to call him in case I needed a ride to the airport and said he has a group of taxi drivers that work together. Wonder if it’s the same guy.
