7 Interesting Details We Noticed In The Trailer For ‘Avengers: Endgame’

Despite being an end-of-the-world movie, ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ felt like an adventurous ride. There were tons of action, hilarious character interaction moments and every frame was filled with colour. However, during the final moments of Thanos’ journey, things became incredibly bleak and left us in tears.

The much-anticipated trailer for its sequel, ‘Avengers: Endgame’ stays true to that note and shows our heroes at their worst state. The sombre lighting and desperate dialogues really highlight the damage Thanos has caused. Additionally, it gives us some details about what to expect from the movie when it arrives in April.

So, in case you missed out some details through your tear-filled eyes, here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the ‘Avengers: Endgame’ trailer.

1. Tony Stark is starving in space and the reason for that is Thor.

The trailer opens with Tony Stark recording a message for the love of his life, Pepper Potts. And he mentions waiting for rescue, which might be an allusion to Potts’ Iron suit, which is called Rescue. What does that mean? Well, it means Potts will be Stark’s saviour, unless Captain Marvel gets to him first.

With the Guardians gone, it’s only Nebula and Stark in the Benatar, who were possibly charting a course back to Earth and ran out of fuel. Now, while that was inevitable, Stark wouldn’t be complaining about food for a few more days only if Thor wouldn’t have stolen it all in ‘Infinity War’.

2. Thanos is still injured and living a happy life.

Thanos’ goal was to bring balance to the universe and then watch the sun shine on a grateful universe. And he’s a man of his word, as suggested by the armour being used as a scare-crow (or whatever space creatures he’s scaring off).

However, he’s on the back-foot this time because he’s still wearing the burnt Infinity Gauntlet, which might’ve become glued to his hand after the snap. And going by his limp, he’s still injured after his altercation with the God of Thunder.

3. The OG Avengers are back at the base, planning their next step.

Steve, Natasha, Bruce and Thor were last seen in Wakanda. But it looks like they’ve re-grouped at the Avengers base to come up with a plan to undo Thanos’ actions.

Steve has changed from his bearded, roughed-up look to a more clean-shaven avatar. But what’s scary is that he’s back in his ‘The Winter Soldier’ suit, which was his first movie with the Russo Brothers. And that means this might be the end of the line for our Captain.

4. There has been some off-screen deaths of characters we know and love.

In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, we can see Shuri’s name pop-up in the missing persons list. Shuri was last seen in the Wakandan tower and her death wasn’t shown in ‘Infinity War’. However, this means that the snap effected her as well, thereby indicating that there have been some major off-screen deaths that are yet to be revealed.

5. Hawkeye is back but he isn’t Hawkeye anymore.

The biggest proof that there have been some major off-screen deaths is Clint Barton. He has shed his Hawkeye persona for a murderous, sword-wielding one, called Ronin. And what could’ve sent a man, who was simply on house arrest, on this path? Possibly, the death of his family.

But let’s hope Black Widow will be able to bring him back, since they’re old friends.

6. Scott Lang is here!

In the end of ‘Ant Man and the Wasp’, Scott Lang had gone sub-atomic and was trapped in the Quantum Realm. And with Hank, Janet and Hope turned to dust, it looked like there was no way for him to come back.

However, the ending moments of the trailer shows us that he’s back and he’s alive. And you know what else is in one piece? The van! That said, there’s a slight possibility that he might be a Skrull (you know, those shape-shifting aliens shown in ‘Captain Marvel‘?)

7. The title of the movie harks back to what Tony and Strange said.

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were really eager to know what the next Avengers will be called. And it was revealed to be Endgame, thus alluding to what Doctor Strange had said to Tony, after giving away the Time Stone to Thanos.

But eagle-eyed viewers will remember that the title was also name-dropped by Tony Stark, during his speech, in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’.
