Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is respectfully popular as ‘Sir Jadeja’. Be it his scintillating spins, lightening-fast fielding or thunderous batting, Ravindra Jadeja is one of the finest all-rounders our country has ever produced.
And, it seems like, Jadeja’s fan following isn’t just limited to India. Australia’s left-arm spinner Ashton Agar is one of the latest additions to Sir Jadeja’s fan force!
The talented spinner has been grabbing the limelight recently for becoming the second Australian bowler to take a hat-trick in T20I after former pacer Brett Lee, reports Business Standard. The bowler spoke about his conversation with Ravindra Jadeja at Ind Vs Aus ODI series and said that the Indian all-rounder inspires him.
“I had a wonderful chat with Ravindra Jadeja after the India series. He’s my favorite player in the world — I want to play cricket like he does,” Agar told HT.
“He’s an absolute rockstar: smacks them, gun fielder, and spins the ball. But it’s just his presence when he’s out there, watching his confidence… Just talking to him about spin bowling, keep trying to spin the ball. When he’s batting he has a really positive attitude, and he takes that attitude into the field as well,” he added.
Agar recently has been receiving praise for his hat-trick against South Africa. Thanks to Agar’s brilliant game, the Aussies defeated South Africa by a margin of 107 runs in first of the three T20Is played at the Wanderers.
Ravindra Jadeja hasn’t yet responded to what Ashton said. Let’s wait and watch what he has to say about being an inspiration to the Australian spinner.
