On December 24, in an intimate nikah ceremony, Arbaaz Khan got married to Shura Khan and began their happily ever after. The ceremony was attended by their very close family members and friends.

Shura Khan is a highly-regarded celebrity makeup artist who has carved a niche for herself in the entertainment industry. She is often seen collaborating with the likes of Raveena Tandon and her daughter, Rasha Thadani, reported Financial Express. Apparently, her path crossed with that of Arbaaz on the sets of ‘Patna Shukla’ – a film produced by him.

However, a lot of people have been sceptical about their 25-year age gap. Addressing this, Arbaaz Khan expressed that despite the age gap, Shura knew what she wanted in her life and they’ve spent enough time together to make such a big decision.
“Though my wife is much younger than me, it is not like she is 16 years old. She knew what she wanted in her life, and I knew what I wanted in my life. We spent a lot of time together in that one year to really see what we expect out of each other, what do we want, and how are we looking at our future. Such decisions are not made in a hurry,” Indian Express quoted him saying.
He went on to claim that marriages in which couples have a big age gap tend to have a higher success rate.
“It’s not like we were not aware of it or we hid it from each other. As a girl, she knew what she was getting into, and as a man, I knew what I was getting into. Two people of the same age can be together and probably separate in a year. So, is age the only factor that keeps relationships going? Ask yourself. In fact, whenever you see there is a very big age gap between marriages, they have far higher success rate,” he said.

“Whatever we were looking for in life, matched. We were willing to give each same amount of commitment, love and respect. It didn’t matter beyond that,” he further added.
