Aamir Khan Begins Training With Athlean-X For Another Body Transformation For New Film

At the beginning of each new year, we set resolutions for ourselves. And the most common one is to buy a gym membership and get back in shape. But how many of us actually go through with it? Lack of consistency, low motivation or procrastination gets in the way. Fret not though, because Aamir ‘the perfectionist’ Khan is here to our rescue.

Back in 2016, the actor’s fat to fit transformation for the movie ‘Dangal‘ left us in complete awe. Now, he is training for a new project that requires him to sport a different look. This time around his trainer is Jeff Cavaliere. Previously, a physical therapist and strength coach for the The New York Mets, he went on to found Athlean-X. He helps everyone train like an athlete with his workout programs and YouTube videos.

Aamir Khan’s pro tip for anyone embarking on a fitness journey

Speaking about his Dangal transformation, the actor says that initially, his goal felt almost impossible. To keep himself from being disheartened, he used this technique,

“I told myself, don’t look at where you’re supposed to get to in 5 months. Because right now that looks so difficult. It looks so unachievable… Let me just look at what I’m supposed to do today. One step at a time.”

Jeff Cavaliere’s workout philosophy is to not concentrate on numbers

While exercising, we tend to count the number of reps we do. But this 30/60/90 regime focuses on the time per exercise rather than its count. Jeff explains,

“It is not about the reps, it is about making the reps count.”

That is some pretty solid advice. Time to get back on the fitness train and achieve our health goals for 2019 folks.
