South Indian dishes like idlis and dosas are lip-smacking in their traditional forms but sometimes, people like to experiment with unusual ingredients in the hope of creating something unique and flavourful. And like all kitchen experiments, these can turn out to be hits or misses. In the past, foodies have come up with ice cream idlis, biscuit dosas, and dosa masala burgers with tangy rasam sauce.
Recently, a Bengaluru-based food blogger shared a recipe for Paneer-stuffed Palak idli with cashews and pomegranate seeds as garnish and a chutney made from roasted chana powder. Take a look.

While a few people lauded the inventiveness of the “North meets South” fusion delicacy, most were of the opinion that paneer has no place inside idlis and that this was a “criminal cookery experiment.” Some called it an alien object while others named it a cruelty (much like everything else that’s been going on in 2020).
This punjabization of every South Indian dish needs to stop 🤣ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
