Sushma Swaraj Rescues An Indian Woman In Pakistan Who Was Ill-Treated By Her In-Laws

If the current regime of Narendra Modi is earning accolades from all over for their good governance in the nation, a major reason is the complete and undeflected dedication of some of the cabinet ministers towards their respective fields of service.

And when we talk about dedicated ministers, the first name that pops up in mind is our Minister for External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj. In the past, Ms Swaraj has rescued countless of Indian and foreign nationals in need, be it uniting a Pakistani bride with her Indian groom or securing medical admission for a Pak girl, and once again, she has delivered on her promise.

In a series of tweets on Monday, Sushma Swaraj informed how she received a mercy plea from Mohammad Akbar, an Indian father whose daughter, Mohammadia Begum was being ill-treated by her in-laws in Pakistan.

Acting swiftly on the matter, Ms Swaraj asked the Indian diplomats in Pakistan to send a note of protest to ensure the safety of Mohammadia.

As Begum desired to return to her homeland after meeting the Indian officials, Ms Swaraj made sure the wish is fulfilled.

As Begum’s Indian passport has expired, Ms Swaraj asked the officials to renew the same and ensure her safe return.

And just like that, Ms Swaraj yet again proved her statement in which she said, “India cares for its citizens”.
