“I Am A Professional Liar.” SRK Talks About His 25 Years In Bollywood, Retirement And More!

Shah Rukh Khan is a man of many talents. Apart from being the King Khan Of Bollywood, he is also the unacclaimed King of our hearts. I say this when I sit to wonder if there’s anything I haven’t already said/written about him. But like they say, they can never be a thing called ‘too much of SRK.’ How can there be when he wears his modesty instead of stardom like that?

Even after all these years, after innumerable larger-than-life characters and 25 years in the industry, he is still the heartthrob who can give actors half his age, a run for their money!

In a candid, tell-all interview to Indian Express, Shah Rukh Khan recently opened up about his journey of a lifetime and much more. When asked if he would watch his debut film ‘Deewana’ again, he had a surprising answer in store!

“I haven’t watched Deewana, I don’t even want to watch it, and I don’t say it out of ego, but I now watch all the new movies (laughs).”

 

In fact, taking about his new-found stardom, SRK recalled an incident from his early days with Salim Khan (Salman Khan’s father) and we couldn’t have agreed more.

 

When he was asked about his moment of realisation- the realisation of becoming a superstar, Shah Rukh had the most humble response. 

 

That’s not all. The actor even went on to mention his mantra that has helped him bring life to all his characters over these years.

“I am an actor, I can do whatever I feel like. I am a professional liar, I believe in every lie I tell, otherwise, I wouldn’t be an actor.”

 

Talking about his capacity as an actor, the Silver Jubilee star even got sentimental about the passion he has for his work. 

 

Even then, nothing could stop SRK from speaking about the things his stardom has snatched from him. 

 

However, there was the answer to one question that raised our eyebrows. When asked about his feelings, if a biopic were to be made on him, SRK scandalised us all! 

“My biopic will be boring without my controversies and I’m the only one who knows them.”

 

But the good news soon came in and we could all breathe again. SRK was asked if retirement is on the cards and his swift reply has our heart! 

“No, I don’t think I will be able to retire one day, unfortunately for a lot of people (laughs). I’ll always act, I don’t think I know anything else to do.”

As much as I disagree with his last line, I cannot express my joy at the clarification of that! #TeamSRKForever
