Watch This Japanese Wrestler Celebrate Her Gold Medal By Slamming Her Coach On The Mat, TWICE!

Athletes celebrate wins in many ways.

Some carry their coaches on their shoulders. Some get carried on the shoulders of other teammates. While, some run with the flag.

Japanese wrestler Risako Kawai slammed her coach on the wrestling mat playfully – TWICE!

The coach was laughing uncontrollably the whole time while he was being slammed on the mat, celebrating Japan’s 4th gold medal in wrestling

 

She then picked him up and went on a victory lap around the stadium, honoring him duly.

The 21-year-old woman had just defeated her Belarusian opponent 3-0, but still had enough energy to play with her coach in this quirky way!

 

The coach had actually wanted her to lift him, but Risako had different plans –

“The three wrestlers the previous day all won gold so they got to do that, and I said I wanted to be first to slam him and he let me do it.”

A very refreshing take on the camaraderie we can clearly see between them!
