Pierce Brosnan Was Told That Pan Bahar Is A ‘Tooth Whitener’ And He Demands To Back Out

The internet fell apart when the news that Pierce Brosnan is endorsing ‘Pan Bahar’ came out. Apparently, the James Bond actor was tricked into doing the ad campaign and was told that he was supporting a healthy, natural product.

In an interview with People Magazine, Brosnan said that his contract stated that Pan Bahar was a ‘Tooth Whitener/ Mouth Freshener’ and had no substance of any sort that would cause cancer.

“I have the greatest love and affection for India and its people.

I would never have entered into an agreement to promote a product in India that is dangerous to one’s health.”

Pan Bahar consists of nuts, seeds, spices and is believed to cause cancer and many other health related problems.

 

Pierce Brosnan is deeply hurt and saddened because he lost his wife and daughter to cancer and if he was told right, he would have never promoted a product that contains cancer causing substances.

“Having endured, in my own personal life, the loss of my first wife and daughter as well as numerous friends to cancer, I am fully committed to supporting women’s health care and research programs that improve human health and alleviate suffering.”

Brosnan lost his wife Cassandra Harris and their daughter Charlotte to ovarian cancer.

 

Brosnan said that he was “grossly manipulated” as his contact said that he would only be endorsing ONE product that was supposed to be “all-natural containing neither tobacco, supari, nor any other harmful ingredient”, but they have used his pictures in the entire line of products.

He, who has spent decades promoting good women health care was distressed to know that Pan Bahar was using his image to promote a range of Pan Masala products.

 

Brosnan accepted that the matter has gone out of hands and the company has “violated the contract”. He has also apologised to everyone in India whom he might have offended.

“I shall endeavor to rectify this matter. In the meantime, please accept my sincerest and heartfelt apologies to all whom I have offended.”

For someone who has always promoted women’s health care and has lost someone to the battle of cancer, this comes as a hurtful incident. To deceive someone for the brand promotion can not be justified.

We are on your side, Mr. Brosnan.
