That highly anticipated letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry never came, Hagrid never blasted through the door to take us to Diagon Alley and we never really got the permission slip from Sirius Black in order to visit Hogsmeade Village. However, for ever Harry Potter fan out there, the magic never died. So many of us found solace in the pages of JK Rowling’s wizarding world as we grew up with the epic adventures of Harry, Ron and Hermione.
Well, this Harry Potter themed cafe in Singapore, ‘Platform 1094’, will help you relive all of the fond memories once again. What’s more, they have an actual ‘Goblet of Fire’ on the menu!
Opened by the folks behind Fresh Fruits Lab, Platform 1094 is a WIZARD THEMED bistro and bar serving modern western food with a local twist. Order the Globet of Fire and you'll be in for a magical surprise! Consisting of Blue Curacao Liquer, Barcadi 151 and lime juice in a flaming globet, this will surely make Professor Dumbledore proud! . . . #vscosingapore #sgfood #igerssingapore #sgfoodporn #foodsg #igsg #sgfoodies #instasg #vscosg #cafehoppingsg #sgcafe #cafesg #sgcafes #foodiesg #foodpornsg #instafood_sg #instasg #SETHEATS #sgfoods #singaporefood #exploresingaporee #yoursingapore #sghawker #whati8today #vscocamsg #sgfoodie #sgeats #foodstagram #sginstagram #yahoofood
Here’s a video of the goblet in all of its flaming glory.
Just thinking about this Goblet of Fire I had twelve lightning scars ago at Platform 1094, the new wizardry-themed concept situated at 1094 Serangoon Road. To understand what's going on in this incendiary display, observe the shadows on the wall and the table space around the glass. Yeah, you can channel your inner Emma Watson and vent pent-up weekly frustration here with frenetic spell-casting hand movements.
That’s what the menu looks like.
They’ve got some pretty tantalising desserts which come with their very own wand!
Don’t miss the desserts from Platform 1094 that are a plated affair and seem too beautiful to be eaten. The alcohol-infused Bloodberry is made up of two chocolate shells consisting of Hoegaarden Rosee mousse (with berry foam) and yoghurt parfait (with honey caviar) respectively, sitting on a bed of chocolate soil, macaron sticks and fruits. If you look closely, notice that the wand is made entirely out of chocolate!
Doesn’t it look like something out of a potions lesson?
Could I interest you in a chocolate frog?
Also, just for good measure, they’ve got seats with Harry’s Patronus!
So the next time you’re in Singapore, don’t forget to visit this magical cafe.
C’mon you get a real life flaming ‘Goblet of Fire’, need I provide any further incentive?
