Leslie Udwin Claims That BBC Removed Global Rape Stats From Documentary “India’s Daughter”

Leslie Udwin, British documentary film maker along with BBC, released India’s Daughter, the documentary on Nirbhaya in December 2014, that created a storm throughout India. While some appreciated the documentary, stating that it shed light on the truth, others criticized the documentary. One question that everybody was stuck on was: Is India really a country of rapists?

The documentary has already achieved the status of an “international conspiracy to defame India” by many, who believe that it portrayed India in the wrong light by showing a whole nation to be a nation of rapists, not to mention the repercussions that followed.

She claims that BBC, edited and removed parts of the video that had global rape statistics and narrowed it down to make the documentary look like it is based entirely on India.
