YouTuber Finds GoPro Of A Man Who Drowned 2 Years Ago, Brings It To His Parents

People have different reasons to travel around the world. Some do it just for the fun of it, while others take it as a journey to self-discovery. But what this YouTuber stumbled upon on his expedition was far more amazing than any revelation.

Coincidences work in mysterious ways. And one such a moment happened when a Florida-based YouTuber, Rich Aloha, decided to plan a trip to Foster Falls waterfall, Tennessee, USA. Last week, when he headed to the falls, he planned to go for scuba diving and treasure hunting in the area.

Rich reported in an interview that he was aware of an accident that happened in those falls about 2 years ago. A man named Richard Ragland had taken a trip to Foster Falls, and had drowned in the waterfall. He added that he was asked by the forest rangers to keep an eye out for lost items that belonged to the deceased.

While looking for lost treasure in the waterbed, Rich stumbled upon a GoPro, that had belonged to Ragland. When he watched the footage of the GoPro, Rich was able to identify Ragland unsuspectingly enjoying his final moments with his friends in the falls.

Rich Aloha said-

“I strongly believe that God led me to this GoPro because the only thing I saw was the end tip of the thumbscrew and everything else was just covered in muck. I was going through the footage and I said, ‘Oh my God, this is the guy.’”

Rich Aloha then researched Ragland’s case online and managed to get in touch with his family. Since his death, Richard’s parents had been trying to find out what happened to their son. When his belongings were given to him 2 years ago, they reported that the GoPro, their son had with him, was missing.

With the help of Rich, the parents were finally reunited with the fond memories of Richard enjoying his life moments before death embraced him. Robin and Gary McCrear, Richard’s mom and dad, found the SD card of the GoPro intact and mentioned that watching the footage was like an ‘out of body experience’. Robin also spoke about Aloha, saying-

“For him to go through the efforts to do his research, make numerous phone calls and not give up until he got in touch with us. That means the world to us.”

This video is the report on the entire incidence along with the footage from Ragland’s GoPro.

Just like Richard’s parents, we’re all touched by Aloha’s act of kindness.
