The innocence in their smile has been darkened because of them slogging in the depths of coal mines. Their once soft fingers have now adjusted to the shape of tea glass containers they carry round the clock. They defy death each time in circus in order to entertain others. Their clothes are of the same condition as the ones they use to mop floors of your house. They are kids, famously known by the world as child labourers.
The International Labour Organization launched the World Day Against Child Labour on 12th of June in the year 2002 with the motive of implementing efforts to eliminate child labour. To bring the attention of the privileged class all around the world towards the poor kids losing out on the most precious years of their lives by working for their masters. But have we as humans achieved this motive? Your 13 year old maid can answer this question better than you and I.
