Like most romantic movies that were released in the 2000s, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ is a fan-favourite. Back then, the movie was an instant hit. Who wouldn’t love a simple man going out of his way to make life better for the love of his life while hoping that she falls for him in the process? Most people would and they did.
However, now looking back, any practical person would say that the movie was downright unrealistic. I mean, first, the woman is misguided into developing feelings for a fake persona and second (and probably the most important), the wife failed to recognize her own husband after he shaved his moustache, changed his wardrobe, and got rid of his sunglasses. What BS!
So when one Twitter user @yess_sejal posted that Kabir Singh’s generation will never understand Surinder Sahni’s love culture, people online decided to weigh in and explain what *actually* happened in the movie.

Several people online pointed out that both the movies, ‘Kabir Singh’ and ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, are problematic in their own ways. If you think about it, no woman would like to develop feelings for a person who has a completely made-up identity. It’s catfishing but in real life!
This generation also won’t understand how you remove a moustache & take out the spects and you are a different person all together..

And Tani’s generation who didn’t love her husband but was falling in love with a chapari after getting married will never understand Preeti’s love.

Pretending to be someone else to impress your wife is the love culture this generation should follow?

Movie summary:
Beta husband lands a secretly hõe wife via Arranged marriage. Wife hates beta, beta can't get laid properly even after max simping.
He disguises himself as alpha and she cheats on him with his disguise. If Beta Buxx Alpha Fux was a movie, then this was it. https://t.co/GesE8IXn04— Ambar (@Ambar_SIFF_MRA) December 24, 2022
Also, I think it’s high time we treat Bollywood movies as just movies and not take inspiration from them, especially when it comes to love and relationships.
